I meet you all again on this date with the goodwill and great concern to somehow remedy this unpleasant situation, which is a matter well known to everyone and is causing more and more hardship to the environment due to known reasons.
In the past fifty years since World War II, the rapid environmental changes (climate change, global warming, epidemics, physical changes of the Earth, etc.) that have resulted from the continuous pollution of the land, ocean, and atmosphere in various ways, make every elderly person deeply concerned about the future living environment of their descendants living on Earth.
The first steps in the process of land pollution are the extraction of resources from the soil through mining, refining them and converting them into inputs required for the production of various goods or products. Land pollution increases as factories that manufacture various goods and thermal power plants that generate electricity emit solid and gaseous pollutants throughout the year. Land pollution continues to worsen as vehicles used for road transport emit gaseous pollutants. As a result, humans, animals, birds, plants and the environment are adversely affected in many aspects.
Oceans around the world are becoming increasingly polluted due to many factors, including direct and indirect discharge of industrial waste into rivers, discharge of untreated sewage into rivers, discharge of fertilizers and pesticides from fields into rivers, discharge of animal and bird waste from farms into rivers, discharge of road oil, road salt, heavy metals, construction waste and plastic waste from urban areas into rivers, and direct dumping of various types of garbage into the sea. These severely affect marine life and the environment.
The atmosphere around the earth is severely affected by various pollutants such as the untreated smoke from small and large factories, the exhaust gases released by the burning of fuels used by vehicles on the roads and ships at sea. In addition, the huge amount of exhaust gases released by the burning of tons of various fuels used by airplanes, spaceships, rockets and missiles greatly affect the entire living beings, plants and the environment in many ways.
The reality is that the environment is gradually and increasingly degraded due to the various harmful pollutants that we continuously release from the land, sea and atmosphere for various reasons, and the optimal environment required for the healthy growth and well-being of all living beings, including humans, animals, birds, aquatic creatures and plants, is continuously decreasing.
As the environment continues to be affected, climate change leads to many adverse effects such as heavy rains, heavy snowfall, severe heat waves, sea level rise, severe earthquakes and tsunamis. This change in the environment also leads to consequences such as severe El-Nino (associated with a warm period, which leads to severe drought) and La-Nino (associated with a cold period, which leads to heavy rains and severe cold).
It is a well-known fact that environmental change will affect all living things on Earth, including humans, and if these changes continue, it will gradually lead to the extinction of all living things on Earth. Therefore, numerous organizations around the world have begun to take the necessary steps to prevent it. Of course, measures to protect the environment have lagged far behind in all aspects compared to the rate of increase in pollutants.
Therefore, how the next generation will cope with the adverse effects of future environmental degradation is a major concern of every senior citizen around the world. If my prediction is correct, the global environmental protection effort to return to neutrality would have to be to maintain zero pollution for at least the next 50 years. Achieving the goal of zero pollution is now in the hands of everyone around the world.
SUMMARY
It is a well-known fact that environmental change caused by pollutants emitted from land, sea and sky will affect all living things on earth, including humans, and that if these changes continue, it will gradually lead to the extinction of all living things on earth. The rate of environmental degradation caused by the total amount of pollution emitted is lower than the rate of measures taken to protect the environment. The global environmental protection effort to return to neutrality must be to maintain zero pollution for at least the next 50 years. Achieving the goal of zero pollution is now in the hands of everyone around the world, without discrimination.
