Dear Readers,

It is a great pleasure to meet you all again with this important topic, “Social Responsibility | My Perspective”. I hope that the intention of this article will reach everyone who reads the content under this topic positively.

Social responsibility is one of the important aspects of social welfare. It is a set of moral thoughts and good practices that everyone in society, regardless of their background and without discrimination, should adopt in their normal lives in order to continuously work for the welfare of society.

Social welfare is the best possible protection of life, property, rights and well-being of all ages without discrimination, and the preservation of nature and all living beings essential to ecological balance, and the preservation and maintenance of all natural resources with the utmost care and without any compromise or deterioration.

The success of social welfare depends on the quality of social welfare activities carried out with utmost dedication and selflessness by all individuals, groups, volunteers, private organizations, government officials, government institutions and government administration, strictly following defined rules and procedures.

Social welfare activities include not only providing all essential facilities to ensure the complete protection of humans and nature without discrimination, but also ensuring their proper planning, construction, maintenance, protection and renewal in accordance with the times and circumstances, taking into account the present and the future, in order to meet the needs based on changes in the environment and lifestyle.

During the reign of the past kings, everyone from the people to the kings all over the world gave great respect and high priority to social responsibility in every action they took. Because they considered violating social responsibility not only a crime but also one of the greatest sins. Moreover, minor punishments with warnings were given to those who violated it unknowingly, and appropriate and severe punishments were given to those who violated it knowingly without any discrimination. Since social responsibility was taught to everyone from childhood by ancestors, elders, mentors and teachers, social responsibility was well practiced by everyone in those days.

Later, as the population increased and their lifestyle changed from joint families to individual families, and due to the laziness caused by that mechanical lifestyle change, social responsibility violations by some individuals slowly started happening. Over time, this violation reached a serious level as most people did not give importance to social responsibilities due to their selfishness and careless attitude.

Through my research, I have come to know for sure that this undesirable situation is constantly increasing in society due to many known reasons that have developed at all levels of society. Another fact that I have come to know through my research is that the root cause of all types of crimes begins with a person consistently and knowingly violating his social responsibility.

Another worrying fact is the complete lack of awareness among young school going children about the importance of social responsibility and its immense benefits. This will completely destroy its importance in the future because the entire society, including parents, prioritizes, and forces them to face a situation that is going to determine their future life with a competitive attitude.

It is a well-known fact that if we were to present sufficient evidence for the above facts regarding the violation of social responsibility, this post would take up many pages. Due to the selfishness and negligence of some, and the ignorance of others, this undesirable violation and its consequences continue to occur everywhere in one way or another, whether we are aware of the facts about its consequences or not.

Most people believe that it is the social responsibility of the government to provide all the facilities needed by the society and to maintain and protect them. While that is absolutely true, it is also an undeniable fact that if those facilities are built and maintained by contractors with the sole intention of making profit without any social concern and then not used properly and responsibly by the end users, the government’s plan will be completely wasted. Therefore, the only solution to this is for everyone to firmly adhere to social responsibility without any compromise.

Generally, governments in all countries control social responsibility violations through appropriate rules and regulations. In some parts of the world, social responsibility violations are largely controlled through strict rules and penalties. However, it is of great concern that the extent of social responsibility violations is increasing day by day, at almost all levels and in many forms.

The truth is, no matter how ordinary a person is or what position he holds, social responsibility should be his basic principle above all else, and it should be deeply ingrained in his mind. Only then can social responsibility violations be completely controlled. On the contrary, they cannot be controlled by any law or punishment.

A complete and permanent solution to prevent future social responsibility violations is to include social responsibility as a compulsory subject in all classes, including colleges, according to the age of the students. If this is done, the social welfare efforts and welfare programs of everyone, including the government, will benefit the society in every way; otherwise, all efforts will ultimately become like pouring water on barren land.

SUMMARY
The majority of people, from children to adults, do not care about their social responsibilities. They do not properly observe them; in fact, they have completely forgotten them. The greatest concern is that the level of social responsibility violations is increasing day by day at almost all levels and in many forms in human society, due to selfishness, negligence, apathy and ignorance. In fact, the root cause of all types of crime begins with one person consistently and knowingly violating their social responsibility. The truth is, no matter how ordinary a person is or what position he holds, social responsibility should be his basic principle above all else, and it should be deeply ingrained in his mind.
